Why I Built RideHail

I started RideHail because I kept watching drivers do everything right — showing up, driving safely, keeping their cars clean — and still losing a quarter of every fare before they ever saw a naira of it.

That model wasn't built for Abuja, or for Nigeria. It was built for cities where the economics of commission made sense for the platform, and drivers absorbed whatever was left. I didn't think that had to be the only way.

RideHail flips the arrangement: drivers pay one flat, predictable cost, and keep everything they earn. No sliding commission, no surprise deductions — just a platform that makes money by serving drivers well, not by taking a cut of their work.

Long term, I believe African cities deserve transport technology built here, for the roads and realities here — not a scaled-down version of something designed elsewhere. RideHail starts with drivers because that's where sustainable mobility businesses are actually built: one driver, one fare, one platform that's finally on their side.
